Just back from a successful Palace Art Fair in Fulham, London.
As well as some good sales of both new and older images I have again made some very good contacts.
Shooting for my new project The Last Stand is due to commence again in a few weeks as the grey skies and low lying clouds of winter start to return. I have approximately 28 locations still to shoot in the UK which I am planning this week and hope to complete these by next March.
I am also starting to script a short two minute video about the project which I hope to use both in my search for project funding and also at exhibition proposal stage…but more information about that soon.
In the meantime it’s back to commercial shoots with meeting also planned for this coming week with prospective new clients.
After seeing my work at The Brighton Art Fair, Creative Boom have written a great review of the whole show, including my work specificaly.
Always good to read.
A successful Brighton Art Fair is now complete.
The first showing of images from The Last Stand went down very well and included a sale of the first in the edition of my large print of one of the series at the Private View.
I have been asked to put on an exhibition of the work also when it is complete and met up with some great photographers including Jim Stephenson and Alex Currie.
The success of this fair means I am now also showing the Palace Art Fair in Fulham which starts in just 9 days! So lots of preparation is required including scanning, printing and framing.
At the show I will be showing a new fourth image from The Last Stand series.
More info soon!
Putting together a mail out today I really do like seeing these images together.

As you know mostly I shoot commercial and residential Interiors but for one of my clients, Action on Hearing Loss (formerly RNID) I shoot other things.
Last Sunday saw me at the Womad Music festival taking photographs of the World Air Guitar record attempt.
Previousely the record was 1873 but it was broken with over 2000 people playing their air guitars along with the UK air guitar champion to Jimmy Hendrix and Purple Haze.
Great fun!

The last six weeks has seen me shooting a very large job for one of my commercial clients, Seasons Holidays.
Locations have included Cornwall, Wales, The Lake District, Scotland, Lanzarote and The Republic of Ireland.
So lots of travelling but great to see so many parts of the UK.
After the work days in Lanzarote I took advantage of being there and drove around the Island a little finding some great architecture by Cesar Manrique, amazing volcanic landscapes and beautiful beaches.
I also discovered two great locations for my project The Last Stand which after some research and letter writing will hopefully take me back there to shoot later on this year.
The job I am currently shooting will be finished next week and amongst the other work I have lined up I will be able to start shooting for The Last Stand again, with locations in the UK including North Wales, West and Northern Scotland, The North East and East Anglia to visit, as well as those farther on the continent.

The Natural Wedding Book
Over the last two years I have been photographing for The Natural Wedding Book by Louise Moon.
The book, which contains over 200 of my photograph, was published late last year here in the UK by Sawday’s and in the US by Rizzoli and Murdoch Books in Australia.
Designed by Shelley Doyle at 20Twenty Design and packaged by Harris+Wilson, it really is a beautiful book and everyone involved is very happy with it.
There is also a Natural Wedding Book blog at thenaturalweddingbook.com
